And that's a wrap
A round-up of some stuff I did this week
Earlier this week, I was in The News Minute studio, recording a podcast with Dhanya Rajendran, Pooja Prasanna and Leena Raghunath, all TNM, along with security affairs expert Sushant Singh.
We discussed the war, the aftermath, the surround sound, and the role of media — particularly electronic media — in creating and amplifying the fog of war. Here, on Spotify:
Or, if you prefer, you can listen to it on Apple Podcasts or watch on YouTube:
Related — because the subject came up in course of the podcast — read this story by TNM reporters Nidhi Suresh and Anmol Pritam on the Maulana from Kashmir who was killed in Pakistani shelling, and who was slandered subsequently as a terrorist by several national television channels, and what the family is going through in the aftermath.
Elsewhere, I wrote a piece (paywalled) for The Morning Context, on the retirement of Virat Kohli and matters related. A part — the second part — focussed on Kohli’s Test legacy; the first part however looked at the manner of his going: the behind-scenes games, the powerplays on both sides. In the final analysis, though, this is the thought, the image, that remains:
Cheers all, have a good weekend.

Finally got to the piece on Kohli in TMC. Brilliant - totally enjoyed it. As you said, he is truly a guy whose legacy cannot be captured in a short piece but you could do it as well as one could. Also thanks for all the links to those tributes - hope to get to each of them soon. I am still hoping that BCCI will do something to recognise what he brought to Indian cricket.
I subscribed to The Morning Context to read your article. 😊
